Safety Train has been one of Wales´ leading providers of quality innovative health and safety training since 1992 when we pioneered the development of what is now known as the Client/Contractor National Safety Group Passport courses and the Safety Passport Alliance courses for food production, petrol forecourt retail and quarrying.

We aim to provide high quality training, through our status as recognised accredited centres for the following organisations:

  • National Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH)
  • City & Guilds Institute of London
  • Chartered Institute of Environment & Health (CIEH)
  • Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH)
  • Safety Pass Alliance (SPA)
  • Construction Plant Register (CPR)
  • Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB)
  • Client/Contractor National Safety Group (CCNSG)
  • Engineering & Marine Training Authority – EMTA

  • In partnership with these organisations we´ve evolved to meet the changing demands placed on industry and business by UK legislation, codes of practices, etc.

In 2009 we became an accredited centre to deliver the NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health course, achieving a 70% overall pass rate in our first year of delivery.

We offer a wide range of training courses suitable to both industry and business/commerce – if a course you´re looking to source isn´t listed in our brochure, we´ll be happy to discuss your requirements and provide you with a quotation to deliver a tailored course either at our Neyland training facility, your premises or a third–party venue.

In addition to health and safety training, Safety Train also provides training to help unemployed skilled welders re–code, together with providing training to clients new to the welding profession to achieve their codings. We also provide training to introduce clients, new to the engineering construction sector, to workshop practices and safe use of equipment, including plating and pipefitting. In 2009 Safety Train workshop clients achieved a 90% welding inspection test pass rate, with 78% finding full time employment following completion of our courses.

Welsh Assembly Government funding (through the ReAct scheme) may be available to fund health & safety and welding/workshop training for anyone recently made redundant – your local Careers Wales office can provide guidance on available funding and we can help you complete your application and build a comprehensive training plan designed to help you back into work.

In addition to providing health and safety training, Providence Training can offer a comprehensive health and safety advice & consultancy service tailored to meet its member´s needs through STAR Business Solutions.
