There is currently a skills shortage which needs to be addressed. Providence Training, delivering the training through Safety Train, offers a range of engineering construction related courses aimed at both novices to the sector, and those who require skills enhancement.

Our range of courses includes:

  • Introduction to workshop practices and equipment.
  • Introduction to pipefitting, welding and plating through to coded welding in all processes; MMA/MIG/TIG from carbon steel to stainless.

If you´ve been made redundant funding may be available through your local Career Wales office; if applicable we can help you build a training plan designed to help you return to work through improving your current skills, or training to develop new skills.

In 2009 our coded welding clients achieved a 90% pass rate for welding inspection tests. 74% of these welders have now found employment immediately after completing training.
